Parveke

Tänään laitoin parvekkeen kesäkuntoon. Pari tuntia meni puunatessa, parveketavaroita varastossa hakiessa ja tietenkin kukka-asetelmien teossa. Olen lopputulokseen sangen tyytyväinen.

Today I prepared our balcony ready for summer. The cleaning, getting the things from the storage, and assembing the flower arrangements took a couple of hours. I am very pleased how it all looks like now.





Tässä vielä yleiskuvaa parvekkeesta. Parveke on aika iso ja siellä on jopa vanha heteka loikoilua varten. Se ei tosin näy tässä kuvassa.

Overall view of the balcony. The balcony is quite large and we could even fit an old bed in it. As can be seen the bed did not fit into the picture.

Ulkomaanmatka - Travelling abroad

Mieheni kanssa kerätään maita. Huhtikuun lopussa tuli kerättyä Espanja, Andorra ja Ranska. Oheinen kuva Espanjasta Barcelonan läheltä.

Me and my husband collect countries. At the end of April we collected Spain, Andorra, and France. The picture on the left is from Spain near Barcelona.

Käytiin katsomassa vuoristoluostaria. Seikkailtiin aika paljon vuorilla ja saatiin tämä mainio kuvakin.

We visited a monastery in the mountains. We walked quite a lot around the mountains and got this nice picture showing the monastery.

Andorassa oli kylmä, -1.5 C kylmimmillään. Lunta oli vielä niin reilusti, että olisi voinut lasketella. Seuraavana päivänä oltiin Välimeren rannalla Espanjassa, lämpöasteita +23 C.

It was cold in Andorra, -1.5 C, and there was still enough snow for skiing. Next day we were on the shores of Mediterranean sea, temperature +23 C.

Ongelma - A problem

Piparkakkutalo. Joulu on jo mennyt. Talon ongelmana on se, että en raaskisi sitä vieläkään hävittää.

Gingerbread house. Christmas is long gone, but the problem still remains: I would not like destroy the house.

Kakku - A cake

Mieheni 30-synttäreitä vietettiin muutama viikko sitten. Sinne askartelen täytykakun äidin perinteisellä ohjeella: vadelma-persikkatäyte ja kinuskikuorrute.

My husband's 30th birthday was a few weeks ago. The cake was made with my mother's traditional recipe: raspberry-peach filling and fudge coating.
